Out of the corn and into the city!

In Omaha we experienced some steak and some homemade ice cream. It was pretty good. A cute little city. Did mention we hit the 100,000 mile mark on the car!! Woohoo!!

Back to the corn and bean fields as we made our way to Denver. I got to drive and Ash took a few naps in the front seat!

The hills were rolling and we were sure we would see a tornado with the dark clouds looming in the distance. No such luck. I guess that's for the best. We arrived in Denver, those rocky mountains just popped right up out of nowhere. We quickly checked into the hotel and then head off to the Denver Botanic Gardens. Amazing flowers and bamboo sculptures. It was relaxing and fun to walk around and stretch our legs.

Next we went to the Downtown Aquarium! Turtles, tigers and sharks oh my! It was amazing! I got to walk over the top of a shark tank, feed/touch a stingray and see some cool sleeping tigers. We also experienced the flood waters of a dessert!! Boy was it wet!! I took soo many pictures of all of the amazing animals and it was by far the coolest thing we've done on the trip.

For dinner we stumbled upon a small bar call Ari's. We had another fabulous meal of green chilli fries, quesadillas and an Ari's burger for Ash.

We're loving Denver and will be sad to leave in the morning. We have a 14 + hour drive ahead of us tomorrow. We can't wait to see the grand canyon!
